I wasn’t tagged in any book tags this week, so I totally creeped on some previous book tags posted by Kristy at Caffeinated Fae, and found The TBR Book Tag.
It looked pretty cool and I do love these kind of posts, plus at the bottom she invited anyone who wants to participate to do so. I’ve been really working on whittling down my TBR, even as I add to it pretty much daily.
Also, if you don’t already follow her blog, do it!
1 — How do you keep track of your TBR pile?
I use GoodReads to organize all of the books I want to read, then I write out a list for the month on regular paper. I check off the book I read as I go.
2 — Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?
I use the library to access my books, and try to get print as much as possible. ARCs are almost always ebooks. I have nothing against reading ebooks, but I prefer print books whenever possible.
3 — How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
I’m very much a mood reader. I try to read ARCs that are being released soon first. If I’m reading a series, I usually read those before other books. And I try to read books that have been recently released as often as possible.
4 — A book that’s been on your TBR the longest.
I’ve had a bunch of books on my TBR for a long time, but I’d say probably Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I’ve just never gotten around to actually reading it.
5 — A book that you recently added to your TBR.
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. I’ve been loving the Throne of Glass series, and can’t see not reading the whole series.
6 — A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.
Evermore Academy: Winter by Audrey Grey — it has such a pretty cover! But the story actually sounds good too.
7 — A book on your TBR that you NEVER plan on actually reading.
Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor. I read the first book in the series, but I was so frustrated. It was such a long book and it ended without ANY resolution, so I don’t want to invest another few days just to find out what happened.
8 — An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.
House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. It comes out March 3rd, and I got to read an excerpt; it’s amazing so far!
9 — A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read except you.
Finale by Stephanie Garber. I’ve been waiting for this one to come in at the library, and whoever the person is who has it out currently is OVERDUE AND NEEDS TO RETURN IT THIS INSTANT!
10 — A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
The Winternight Trilogy. I read The Bear and the Nightingale (review to come soon), and cannot wait to read the next two books!
11 — A book on your TBR that you’re just dying to read.
Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert. I loved the first book in the series, and cannot wait to get my hands on the next one when it comes out. Hopefully I won’t have to wait until it’s released — I requested it on both NetGalley AND Edelweiss!
12 — The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.
311, but I add to this number literally daily.
